November meeting

Aldeburgh WI welcome Mr Gerry Baxter to give us his talk about the Pearly Kings & Queens of London on November 13th at the Aldeburgh Church Hall.

All members and anyone interested in joining the Aldeburgh WI branch are most welcome to our friendly group of Ladies. Tea, Coffee, biscuits plus plenty of chit chat afterwards provided.

Summer Lunch 2019

The committee of Aldeburgh WI would like to thank everyone who attended our Summer Lunch on Saturday 20th July at the Church Hall. We are very pleased to announce that we raised £625 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Thank you to everyone who contributed with food and help on the day and the members who came along to support the event. We look forward to seeing you next year.

Birthday Celebration Lunch

Aldeburgh WI celebrated its Birthday Lunch on Wednesday. We had a really nice time with some lovely food. After Lunch we had some fun playing a Quiz that was organised by Sue which really made our brains work hard! Finally with our afternoon tea we all enjoyed a fantastic cake that had been made by Dana. Thank you to the committee and the members who helped throughout the afternoon and we hope that everyone enjoyed the afternoons event.

Soup & Pudding Luch

On October 18th at the Church Hall we are holding our popular Soup and Pudding lunch from 12 to 2pm. We welcome everyone to this event so bring your partner and friends, the cost is £6 each with all money raised going to our charity, this year, The East Anglian Air Ambulance.

My Tutu went AWOL by Iestyn Edwards

At Aldeburgh Church Hall on July 10th at 2.30p, we welcome Iestyn Edwards to tell us all about his Tutu. Come along and join in the fun on what promises to be a revelation we can all have a good laugh and chat about afterwards. All members and guests welcome with Refreshments afterwards. Any one considering joining our friendly WI are most welcome to come as a guest.

May 8th Meeting

Aldeburgh WI are pleased to welcome their next speaker, Vicki Hease who will be presenting Fabric Flowers as corsages etc., on May 8th at the Church Hall.

Our meetings start at 2.30 where we welcome our members and anyone looking at becoming part of our group. If you would like to join in the fun and meet new people, please come along and meet new friends, enjoy a cup of tea, coffee and a biscuit afterwards.

January 2019 meeting

Aldeburgh WI enjoyed their cream tea today, thank you to the ladies who made the scones and provided the service in the kitchen, it was a perfect afternoon.

We presented a cheque to Ipswich Hospitals, Blossom Appeal, and we had a very interesting talk by Caroline Mortimer, Leading Breast Surgeon, who with two Breast Nurse Specialists, Sue and Ali came to receive the cheque for £1500 from our fund raising activities.

Welcome 2019 from Aldeburgh WI

Dear Ladies,

Members or considering membership?

How about something new for 2019? If you are not a current member why not join our WI for a lovely afternoon once a month in the Church Hall. This year we have a fun packed itinerary with some nice events and great speakers.

Kicking off in January with a Cream Tea on January 9th, we will also be presenting a cheque from our 2018 fund raising to Miss Caroline Mortimer, Lead Breast Surgeon and Sue Yates, Breast Care Nurse Specialist, who will supply us with a quick update regarding the Blossom Appeal.

I have now posted all our monthly events for 2019 within this website so please have a look through month by month to ensure you do not miss anything.

Further information is supplied to you upon joining regarding The Aldeburgh WI Extra Activities, which feature the following, Book Club, Lunch Club, Coffee Mornings, Rambling Club, Knit, Stitch and Natter Mornings, Keep Fit and Slimming Club.
